Rev. Fr. Prof. Stan Chu Ilo is a Nigerian born Catholic priest, public theologian, and Research Professor at DePaul University, Chicago, USA with deep commitment to African theology, social justice, and ecclesial renewal, Fr. Stan is widely recognized for his intellectual contributions and pastoral engagement across Africa and the global Church.
Educated at the University of Toronto, the University of the St. Micheal,s College, and the seat of Wisdom Seminary, Owerri, he brings together accademic excellence and deep spiritual insight. His theological scholarship centers on African Christianity, Catholic social teaching, human development and the intersection of faith and politics in postcolonial Africa.
Fr. Stan has worked extensively in community development and peacebuilding throughout sub-Saharan Africa. He is the founder of initiatives that support education, women`s empowerment and heath outreach in maginalized communities. His healing, and inclusive dialogue, calling the Church to be a prophetic voice for justice and human diginity.
